The trailhead to the Mt Dana is on the northeast side of Hwy 120 right outside the Tioga Gate to the Yosemite park. At 9am Saturday, there were so many cars waiting in a long line to get in the park.
From the top of the Mt Dana, you can enjoy two quite different views. One is rocky eastern Sierra scenary and Mono Lake.
And another is vast greeny Yosemite Park. Unfortunately, it was hazy (later I was told it was fire-haze).
I couldn't identify most peaks I saw in Yosemite Park except one distinctively shaped peak, Cathedral Peak.
Here is a photo from my past trip (Cathedral Peak was clearly visible from the Gaylor Lake).
People were taking a break at the peak after a long tiring ascent.
I was very lucky to spot a Marmot on a rock. He was gazing something afar.
